Yes, the cover has finally been  approved for Destiny Fulfilled. Laura Heaney created another masterpiece using her pencil crayons. You can view her realistic work on her website www.lauraheaney.com - and yes, I will be using her talents again when I write a fourth book in the Anandrian Series which will be called Twisted Destiny. I am waiting for the final proofs to come back to me, as I found 12 little annoying errors when I read it over. Once I have made sure all the changes I requested have been made, Destiny Fulfilled will go to press. I can't wait. It's been a long journey and yet it's been incredibly fast, too. I started in January 2014, and January 2016 is just a few weeks away. That's three books in two years. Wow! I did it. And the number of readers who have enjoyed my stories amazes me.

I've been on 2 tv shows, have had several newspaper articles written about me and my books, I've even been on a radio show. Plus, I've done book signings at Indigo and Chapters. I've attended one author festival, and I have completed 2 author readings. Holy mackerel! When I read this, I realize I've been busy.

Aside from learning about getting published, I was also introduced to the world of social media by my daughters, Laura and Diana. Facebook, Twitter, blogging etc. were all new to me. Plus, I spent hours online learning  how authors market themselves. It's exhausting, but fun! I have entered both Destiny Calls, and Destiny Reclaimed in competitions - most of which I am still waiting hear from.

Anyways, I digress... The countdown has started. Destiny Fulfilled will be available very soon. That;s 3 books on my mantel - which is all I wanted to accomplish. Well, I've accomplished that goal - next I need to work on my marketing and see where the #AnandrianSeries will take me...

 So, now I wait... I have read through the proofs for Destiny Fulfilled, made some changes, and sent them back to FriesenPress. I have been informed that it will take 1-2 weeks for the proofs to come back to me.

Having Destiny Fulfilled in my hands is soooooo close. I'm getting impatient to have the third book done and sitting on my mantel with the other two novels.

With that being said, I took a moment to reflect back over my publishing journey. It began January 2014 - so not that long ago. I have become so entrenched in this project, that it seems all I do is eat, sleep and breath the #AnandrianSeries. It's been a wonderful journey and one that is not complete. When I finished Laura's story, I realized there were a whole bunch of characters who needed to have their story told. Ideas have been whirling about in my head, and Laura and I constantly talk about where the series might go next. Even a walk with the dog down at the beach was inspirational when I saw a bunch of very gnarly trees. A new title popped into my head for book 4, Twisted Destiny, and when I took Laura to see the trees she totally agreed they would make a great cover for the next installment.

I can't get over how my characters are still living inside my head and I feel compelled to carry on and find out what happens to them - and the possibilities seem endless. It stuns me a bit at how invested I have become in their lives. I'm loving it! However, I am trying to hold back on the writing until I have #DestinyFulfilled sitting in my hands (I still have to read it through one more time once the proofs come back to me). I find it hard to switch from one book to the other - a problem I had when I tried this with the other three books. So, I'm waiting impatiently for the third book before I start writing again.
