Daisy the dragon!

I have used family names for my characters, so naturally I had to find a way to use my dog in the Anandrian Series. Check out Kathryn's mount in Destiny Fulfilled.

The runt of the rookery, Daisy was small for a dragon – well under twenty feet in length – but Kathryn had fallen in love with the little reptile, and at the age of five had taken the wee beast under her care naming her Daisy for her sunny disposition. To this day, people snickered when they heard the dragon’s name, but the beast returned Kathryn’s love with steadfast loyalty and had the heart and determination of a much larger dragon.

,When I originally posted this, I meant to mention that Laura, the heroine in #DestinyCalls, is in the blue coat, and is also the incredible artist for the covers of my books, and Diana is in the brown coat and is featured in #DestinyReclaimed as the Moon Goddess and Deity of the Hunt.

The opening scene from Destiny Fulfilled - Book 3 of the Anandrian Series

I am waiting for the proofs to come back from the publisher. In the meantime, here's a taste of book 3, Destiny Fulfilled. And of course, I'm including the wonderful artwork that Laura created for my cover.

Prologue

            “Mom! It’s time!”

Laura Evans cracked her eyelids, reluctant to leave the warmth of her bed. But she kicked her husband, startling him, and rolled out from beneath the covers. Her daughter, Diana, backlit by moonbeams streaming through the window, was hunched over clutching her distended belly and panting heavily. Vaaron automatically reached beneath the bed and came to his feet wielding an intimidating broadsword.

Diana sputtered out a guffaw at the sight of her naked father and growled between gritted teeth, “Dad, you won’t need that unless you intend to cut the cord...” She gasped and waddled farther into the room.

Vaaron’s sword clattered to the stone floor and he muttered, “Bloody hell!” as he pulled on pants. Now partially clothed, at a loss for words or action, he turned to his wife and stood gaping stupidly at her.

Laura rolled her eyes. “A little light and heat would be good, dear.”

“Right!” Vaaron scrambled into action, conjuring magic on his fingertips to light the stones set in brackets on the walls about their bedchamber, before heating the rocks piled in the impressive stone hearth.

“Where’s Manus?” Laura demanded as she approached Diana and draped an arm about her shoulders to lead her to the bed.

Vaaron tensed. “Aye, where is your husband?”

Diana groaned, toppled onto the bed, gasped again, and clutched at her rising belly. Finally she relaxed as the contraction released and she could talk again. “He’s gone to feed Apona’s baby. He had a nice piece of lamb he thought the little dragon would relish.”

            “He left you?” Vaaron bellowed.

Diana blew out a deep breath. Her belly was rising again. Through clenched teeth she muttered, “The contractions started after he left, Dad!”

Can you guess who this is?

Here is an excerpt from Destiny Fulfilled. Can you guess who this is?

??????????? stretched on the bed and gazed up at the ceiling with delight. It was polished to a fine gleam and reflected back her new body with brilliant clarity. For the first time in her life, she was stunning, a real knockout, a vision...

She could go on. Oh why not? She was a veritable goddess, a curvy nymph, a voluptuous vision. And even though she was rumpled from vigorous bed play, she had never looked sexier in her life. Why, she looked thirty years younger – like a woman in her prime, and not some worn out hag in her sixties.

A throat cleared and she glanced at the entrance to Lucifer’s bedchamber, unconcerned by her nudity. A repugnant creature leered at her. Its skin was leathery and black, its eyes, bright yellow with black slits down the middle. But over its arm was draped a soft, green garment.

“The Master selected this for you to wear,” the creature rasped.

“You’re a gargoyle.” ??????????? heard the sultry, dulcet tones of her own voice and smiled. Add siren to the list. It was strange how she didn’t fear the creature.

Destiny Fulfilled is being formatted into a book right now. I am waiting for the proofs. #AnandrianSeries #DestinyFulfilled @KathrynLHeaney #fantasy #paranormalromance #fiction #read. I am waiting to see how the team at FriesenPress completes the stunning cover Laura Heaney created for me. lkheaney.com

I have a cover for Destiny Fulfilled!

Laura Heaney @lkheaney.com has created another masterpeice for my #AnandrianSeries. The third book in the series is called Destiny Fulfilled. Pictured on the cover are the characters Kathryn and Raonull - Laura's grandchildren. They are cousins and have amazing powers in Anandria. But will they maintain their powers when they head to Earth? Let's hope so, as Lucifer has come to Toronto with his dragons and gargoyles in tow - and he seems to have mastery over his powers as he decimates downtown Toronto.

Destiny Fulfilled continues the family saga that began with Destiny Calls when Laura was pulled into Anandria to keep the balance between good and evil. Destiny Reclaimed is the second book that introduces Laura's children Diana and David, who find themselves discovering their magical roots in order to save themselves and their mother.

With the third book, Destiny Fulfilled, we conclude Laura's story, but I am happy to say, there will be more to the Anandrian Series after this as several characters need stories of their own.

Now I leave it up to the publisher to complete the cover adding in the title and my name. I can hardly wait for #DestinyFulfilled to be released.
